Small Mammals

Overview

Small mammals include Rats, mice, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, sugar gliders and rabbits 

• Rats make sounds similar to laughter when they are happy. They can be cuddly with their owners and enjoy being held and petted.
• If a mama hamster feels like her babies are in danger, she will put them in her cheek pouches and carry them away safely.
